Ag-pipe snake and new kit

Big weekend of riding. The front side of Stromlo forest around deek's drive was closed due to a rally. So rode on the bike path to get out to the Stromlo MTB trails. When taking the shortcut down to te cross over bridge, just off the bikepath, I saw the biggest shiniest bit of ag-pipe ever. Well, I was convinced it was ag-pipe, as the other alternative was that it was the biggest, fattest snake ever. And I have seen a lot of snakes.

Funnily enough the 'ag-pipe' wasn't there on the way back. This snake could have been a Weston Creek Anaconda! No-one will ever believe me, I just wish I had of had my camera with me. I am petrified of snakes after a 2 week period last summer where I saw 6 snakes of various variety on the singletrack of sparrow and fire roads of stromlo.

Trev and Janie from Lonsdale St Cyclery hooked me up with cool new race outfit. This is my first experience with bib-knicks. Love the look, feel and comfort, but going to the bathroom is a whole different ballgame. It is a whole massive logistical exercise like you are going on a 10 day expedition. The orange, black and white is fast though!
